Flint Pierce and his pal, Walter Breckenridge hire on as cowboys for Preston Nutter, a Utah cattle baron. Nutter's Grand Cattle Company is running thousands of cattle on his ranges stretching from Green River, Utah to Wolf Hole, Arizona and Gold Butte, Nevada. Flint and Breck are charged with wintering a small herd of Nutter cows on the Gold Butte Range. While in Nutter's employ, the young cowboys meet the reformed outlaw, Jack Brumley. Brumley, a small cattleman, has been wiped out by a gang of rustlers. The boys and Brumley join with Preston Nutter and retired Arizona Ranger, Arch Ruth in an action packed effort to put an end to rustling on the Arizona Strip.
